How
to Teach your Child Preschool
Choosing
a Curriculum
- Find
a well rounded Preschool
Curriculum. Make sure that
it covers the core academic studies such
as Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Science
and Social Studies. Also, make sure that
it is not a general Pre-K Curriculum. But,
instead this curriculum should be age specific.
Our ABC
Home Preschool Curriculums
offers the following age specific curriculums:
Find an Area in Your Home
- Choose
a spot in your house that will be used for
homeschooling your child. If you do this
your child will know when he is sitting
at this spot that it is time for working
on his preschool studies. Make sure there
is no television in sight and nothing else
that might take his mind off of his studies.
Time
Allotted for Studying
- I
always suggest to have your child sit for
15 minute increments twice a day. If she
wants to sit for longer periods of time...
that's fine. But, please do not force your
child to sit and learn if she doesn't want
to. Forcing her will not only give her the
idea that learning is not fun, but if she
is not in the mood to sit and work on homeschooling
then she will not absorb anything taught
to her at this time. When your child appears
to be in the mood to learn try and have
her sit down and work. You will find after
the first couple of times working on Preschool
Studies with her she will begin to ask to
sit down and work on her studies.
