- Be an at-home

- Teach
him the value of a dollar with a weekly allowance earned for chores
- Have him spend
a portion of that money on a friend or donate it to your church
- Love him to bits . . . giving him plenty to be thankful for

These are wonderful ideas to teach your children that the universe doesn’t revolve around them. I have used many of these ideas with my own children, and they really work. A child as young as three years old can help pick out a toy for another child for Christmas or give one of his or her toys away to charity.
