Yes, it’s true…. this is my first Meme. I was tagged by Ann of Homeschool Zoo Annex. Ann is a former homeschooling mom that offers her viewers tons of information and resources on homeschooling children right up through High School.

Five Things You Don’t Know About Me

I have trouble saying, "No". Yes, it’s true. I want to be able to give others everything and land up short changing myself. I am aware of this problem and vow to work on it.
My favorite color is Yellow. Yellow is such a happy color. When I see something yellow it makes me smile. My Grandmother, who passed away 6 years ago this fall, loved the color yellow. I think of my Grandma when I see this color.
I start new projects before I am finished with my last project.

I am a Perfectionist to the Extreme. I had less than average grades in High School, but when I went to College I made a point to do well. For more than two years I had a GPA of 3.94. I received my first B during a pop quiz in Anatomy. I quit the University the next day.
I suffer from a Chronic Illness. I found out within the last 2 weeks (sometime in August) that I suffer from Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Lupus is a widespread and chronic autoimmune disease that, for unknown reasons, causes the immune system to attack the body’s own tissue and organs, including the joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, blood, or skin. My Lupus is attacking my Central Nervous System . This is the first time that I am announcing this in my Online Professional World. This diagnosis is so fresh that I am in the middle of mourning the Shana I once was and the Shana I was looking forward to becoming. With that said, I am also determined to be treated no differently than the Shana I was before diagnosis.

I’m so sorry about your diagnosis. It’s alot to take in. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arhtritis so I know how mysterious and sudden an autoimmune disease can appear. Prayers for you.
