are a few ideas for Arts and Crafts Projects
for Preschoolers. Check back often as they
will be changing.
My
Dad Project
Ask
the child to draw and color large pictures
of their dads (or another important
male figure in their life). Have him/her
tell you something special about their
dad to write down on the pictures. |
My
Thumbprint Animals
Need:
Construction paper, pink paint, red
paint, black paint, and markers
Let the child dip his/her thumb into
the pink paint and make a thumbprint
on a piece of paper. This thumbprint
could be a pig. Have him/her do the
same with red paint. This one could
be a rooster. Have him/her do the same
with black. This one will be the cow.
Let him/her use the maker for the legs
and beaks. What
other animals can they come up with?

You
will need:
1. Baby food jar
2. Paper
3. Hole punch
Give
each child a baby food jar. Have the
children paper punch holes out of
white paper and fill the jars with
the holes about a quarter of the way
up the jar. Help each child fill the
rest of the jar with water and put
the lid on tightly. When the children
shake the jar they will have their
own snowstorm.

Note:
Please make sure the children don’t
put any of the art supplies in their mouth.
Some small items can be a choking hazard.
Never leave your child unattended. Use your
own judgment as to whether your child is ready
for any of the above arts and crafts projects.
