Native American Dance Stick - This is a great craft to do with your child when you are teaching him or her about Native Americans. This craft is a bit complicated, so you will need to help your child quite a bit.
Native American Rattle Craft - You can make a simple yet beautiful Native American rattle from a twig, yarn and beads. When you shake it, it makes a rattling sound. Many Native Americans made ceremonial rattles from natural objects (like deer hooves strung on twigs or rib bones). In this craft, we use beads, spools, washers, or shells as noise-makers.

PAPER CANOE - Many Native American tribes made finely-crafted birch bark canoes. You can make a small model using construction paper and yarn. This is a great craft to do when you are teaching your child a lesson about Native Americans.
Paper Plate May Basket - This May Basket makes up very quickly. There are many ways to decorate this basket, so set out the supplies and let the children devise their own designs. Use some yarn to hang this basket off of a door knob.
Plastic and Yarn Picture Frame - Make this picture frame from a piece of thick, flexible, clear plastic (acetate) It's available at craft stores, fabric stores, and hardware stores. This is a great project for elementary school age children who want to frame their school picture! It's also great for a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift or as a Christmas tree ornament.

String of Leaves - Make a string of leaves to decorate a room. These simple-to-make strings make a great Fall or Thankgsiving decoration. You can drape the strings across rooms, over windows and from the chandeliers.

Twig Easel Craft - This tiny wooden easel is made from twigs - the picture is drawn on cardboard that is framed by twigs. There is a hot glue gun involved with this craft, so make sure you keep the child away from the hot glue gun.
